i don't like phpbb, its the pits. i never heard any good stories about people trying to pimp it up.
now, if it was a forum package from smf, then i could do something for ya.

phpBB forums are actually very easy to theme. Something that would flow with you theme may be the Glass Red theme you can find here: http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/Glass+Red

We used to use this one on our first SS site we had. It has red/black which i think would go nicely with your website theme, although the red is a fair bit brighter than yours. There is a dropdown menu on that site where you can have an instant live preview of each theme. It takes all of about 5 minutes to install a new theme, and only seconds to change it to a new one if you don't like it.

Here's one I think you could personalize to make it look good for your needs: http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/sacred2dark just need to either ditch the background images or swap them out for some pretty OS images

Also if anybody could EVER find Fodder you could ask him which theme he based the website off of. I helped him with it but I have no clue which theme it was. It would have had all its own forum theme complete with matching icons. If I could find it then it would be a simple install like any other phpBB theme.

EDIT: I have found the theme that Fodder used. If Eric sees this and he is interested then I will put the theme together for you guys.

If you have it already put together that would be great. I can drop a theme in easily as you said, just ftp to theme folder if I remember correctly. Still no word on Fodder. Starting to get worried about him. Shoot me an email when oyu get a chance.

EDIT: I forgot I deactivated all of the other themes a looong time ago. They are reactivated if anyone wants to use them. Go to user control panel, click on board preferences tab and choose from the dropdown box.
